Getting Small Businesses Started
The Problem
Start-up businesses cannot access funding easily to enable their business to achieve Proof of Concept (stage 1) and then roll out the business (stages 2 or more)
In order to raise early stage capital they need
- A Business Plan
- An Executive Summary
- Cashflow Forecasts for three years at least leading to projected EBITDA and Balance Sheet
- An initial early stage website with the flexibility to add functionality when needed
- Help with applying for EIS or SEIS status allowing tax incentives for investors
- Help with preparation of Share Subscription documentation
- Help with other basic legal needs
Those with an idea for a business can work with BizStartClub who can help with all of the above for a reasonable and affordable fee and some shares in the business.
The BizStartClub Solution
For a basic very low annual subscription we make the team of professional and consulting staff/partners to be a part of the start-up/small business team. Providing experience and knowledge directly, therefore able to provide access to pre-negotiated services, products or facilities that the member needs for the stage of their journey. We work with the member at the beginning to help map out their journey from where they are to where they want to be. They increase their membership as they increase their business until they are comfortable enough to employ/engage their own staff/sub-contractors. This enables them to mind their business operation whilst we guide them through the associated regulatory/business developments then need to also do.
Why Our Team
The Founders and Partners have all the skillsets to provide the services listed above and work closely with some specialist businesses to ensure that all legal aspects are correctly positioned and that tax incentive schemes are correctly applied for and HMRC approval achieved. Additionally, BizStartClub members for which there is annual subscription of just £50.00 +VAT will then benefit from the group buying power that can be achieved with suppliers of goods and services once the founders of each business have started trading.
Why we do this
The founders of BizStartClub and their associates have been appalled at how professional and consulting services charged us during our early enterprises, yet failed to deliver any direct benefit to the enterprise by way of fundraising or the creation of sales and importantly sales growth. More importantly, many professional consulting services have been quick to charge, but never took responsibility for anything that neither worked or later turned out to be disallowed by a regulatory or authority e.g. Tax schemes and Pensions for small business and their owners.
Some Examples of other organisations and their charges
FSB annual membership £435 to £1,500 and you still have to pay for any additional services.
BNI membership around £2,800 a year and requires weekly attendance to their meetings, plus you have to profit share on referrals to BNI, so it is making the BNI franchise owners money not you.
